The Past

October 17th 2020 was the 30th Anniversary of Barras Car Centre’s appointment as Guernsey’s sole main dealer for the Hyundai range of cars and vans.

Established in 1967, Hyundai Motor Company has enjoyed phenomenal growth and already ranks number 4 in the ‘who’s who’ world rankings within the Automotive industry.

With no less than eight manufacturing bases and seven design and technical centres worldwide, it produces more than 6 million vehicles a year and aims to be the leading Asian brand by 2021.

The Present

Despite Hyundai’s relentless commitment to innovation, cutting edge technology and quality, it has always retained its focus on first- class customer care. Indeed, this philosophy has always been at the very heart of the Barras claim to be the ‘locally owned, family run, independent garage you can rely on!’

This, combined with the promise that 75% of the Hyundai range will be fully ‘electrified’ by the end of the year, means that the BCC and it’s loyal Guernsey customer base are guaranteed many more exciting times ahead.

However, there is no room for complacency at the BCC! We are constantly looking for ways to improve our customer service and are constantly seeking new opportunities within the automotive sector

Industry leaders have recognised how rapidly thigs are changing and widely believe that the Automotive Industry will advance more in the next 5 years than it did in the previous 100!
