BREAKING NEWS: HYUNDAI I20 N WINS TOP GEAR CAR OF THE YEAR.
Hyundai has scored a double victory in the annual Top Gear Awards, with the i20 N backing-up its Speedweek title by winning the overall Car of the Year crown while Hyundai claimed the Manufacturer of the Year award.
“We already knew how brilliant the i20 N was after it brushed aside 25 other competitors at our recent Speed Week test to claim our coveted Performance Car of the Year title. But you don’t win the top prize in our annual Awards without proving your all-round brilliance,” said Top Gear editor Jack Rix.
“This year, it’s the sheer breadth of talent in Hyundai’s line up that swayed us: hot hatches (i30 N, i20 N), hot crossovers (KONA N), hydrogen fuel cell cars (NEXO) and an EV that looks and goes better than anything out there (IONIQ 5)… Hyundai is smashing it right across the board,” he added in regards to the Manufacturer award.
